We have found this beautiful gallica growing in many places in Schuylkill Co. PA.
Rev. Douglas Seidel, veteran rose hunter and collector has seen it nowhere else.
Could it be Redoute’s Rosa gallica aurelianensis, ‘La Duchesse d’Orleans’?
