CLIMBERS: These are smaller than ramblers, 6' to 12' and reliably re-blooming.

'Casino': McGredy 1963  This is a yellow flowered ‘New Dawn’ relative and shares its
glossy-green foliage. Flowers are large, scrolled and abundant with a strong
    fruity fragrance. Vigorous 9’ +

'Dublin Bay': Sam McGredy 1975   Flowers medium to large, well-shaped, pure dark red.
Healthy and vigorous, yet a somewhat compact climber. Very dependable bloomer,
blooms most of the summer. Disease resistant. Good cut. Some fragrance.

‘John Cabot':  Svedja 1978  Clusters of pale red-purple, semi-double flowers with
some scent. A long and vigorous bloom in rose season and then flushes of flowers
until frost. One of Canadian explorer series bred for hardiness and disease-resistance.

    RAMBLERS:

'Paul's Himalayan Musk'  W. Paul 1916  Rosa brunonii (musk rose) hybrid: Enormous clusters
of small flowers that range from rose pink to pale blush. One of the most fragrant roses.
    Vigorous, massive rambler. Once blooming.

‘Leontine Gervais’ Barbier 1903 R. wichurana hybrid  Buds coppery red, opening
to apricot pink, fade to blush cream. Semi double. Strong, sweet musky scent.
Stands shade. Healthy and vigorous. Large flush early in rambler season with
scattered later bloom. We have this over the arch at the entrance to the rose garden
where it blooms for a long time and always pleases. Larger plant, good for pillars or
    large structures. Large orange hips.

    Own-Root Climbers and Ramblers

'Dr. W. Van Fleet'  Van Fleet 1900 This is the once blooming rose from which re-blooming
'New Dawn' sported. Large, pink, fragrant flowers smother the plant in rose season.
We have seen it growing on railroad banks completely on its own and thriving for decades.
Thorny. Preferred by some for its huge display. Fragrance wafts on the air.

'Ruga'  1830 This Ayshire Rambler has semi double 3 inch flowers of creamy pink.
Long, vigorous, prickly stems. Zone 6 or warmer
